Hi!
Anyone with low cost ideas on how to do something similar to the "plague
bags" being sold in stores? I was thinking maybe stick puppets or something?
How does one show lice? How do you do the last plague?
When we have little ones at the table, we have taken to doing the 'magid'
part of the seder as 'story time.' This year I was thinking of a narrated
pantomime, where the kids could do the 'acting.'
The kids/boys are 2, 5, and 7 (plus my daughter who is 13. My son is the
oldest of the boys). They have a hard time sitting through a seder
(especially at the end of the day when they are tired). I also have
relatives who do not give them the space to be children and micro manage
their behavior. The attempts to clamp down on the kids makes for a tense and
less than enjoyable evening.
I would really like to make this something that engages them and helps them
to reach that point of feeling it was they who were liberated while still
allowing them to be the restless little kids that they are (without
condemnation).
