Hello,
My wife and I are Jewish and we are expecting a baby girl in a few
months. We want give her a name of Hebrew origin that starts with a
"Y", after my grandmother. One name that has come up is Yasmine. Most
web sites say Yasmine is of Persian origin, but other web sites state
that Yasmine is a very popular name in Israel and has a Hebrew origin.
We want to be true to our heritage. Can anyone shed some light on
this?
Thank you
